Last year I was humbled to participate in the San Francisco’s Food Blogger Bake Sale and bake for a cause that is close to my heart–ending childhood hunger in America. This year I continue to support the Share Our Strength non-profit organization as I once again bake for this worthy cause. Join me along with twenty-seven other local bloggers/bakers at this year’s San Francisco’s Food Blogger Bake Sale.
When: Saturday, April 28 from 11 am – 4 pm
Where: Omnivore Books at 3885A Cesar Chavez St. in San Francisco’s Noe Valley neighborhood
Surprisingly, last year I received some emails complimenting me on my Tri-Colored Chi Chi Mochi, which is gluten-free! I was a bit hesitant to make mochi since this isn’t a typical bake sale item. However, my inspiration was the children and this is my ai son’s favorite! As a result, this year I will be offering again my Tri-Colored Chi Chi Mochi in ailovebaking colors. Here’s a look at last year’s mochi for the bake sale.
Last year we raised a total of $2,400. We want to double this amount this year so come and enjoy some yummy goodies and support a worthy cause. In addition to the mochi, I am baking up a surprise . . . but you’ll have to come to the bake sale to find out.
Here’s my post on the bake sale from last year.
