A lot of planning, time, and energy go into one blog post–photography, writing, editing, and recipes (for food bloggers). I’ve decided this year I’ll do some short posts that will only feature photos. Heaven knows I need more practice with using my Nikon and this is a good way for me to do just that.
My models for today were Blood Orange Macarons. They turned out pretty decent considering my recent bad luck with macarons. Using blood orange concentrate from The Perfect Puree of Napa, I made some blood orange chocolate ganache. I am not a fan of chocolate and orange and must admit I am not sure I was a fan of these. But they were nonetheless beautiful to photograph. Below is the blood orange puree, which I picked up in Napa directly from the distributor. I am extremely lucky to be within a 20 minute drive to their warehouse.
Check out the Perfect Puree’s website. I purchase all of my puree and concentrate from here. If you live near Napa Valley, you can order ahead and pick up directly from their warehouse. If not, you can order online as well.
Here’s one last photo of these macs! I can boast that I took these photos just minutes ago!
